Dear Prospective Teacher,

We are pleased that you are interested in working at the School District of Philadelphia. We are searching for the best and the brightest teachers who are committed to helping our students achieve their fullest potential.  In order to begin the application process with the District, please complete our on-line application below.

Due to an overwhelming response of applicants at this time and the needs of the district we are currently only reviewing applications for candidates who hold an active Instructional I/II or PA Intern certificate in the following subjects:  

  • Sciences (Chemistry, Physics) 7-12
  • Elementary Education - Bilingual ONLY (Spanish, Russian, Cambodian/Khmer, Chinese/Mandarin) K-6
  • Candidates who hold dual certification in:
    • English/Social Studies 7-12
    • Middle Level Math/Middle Level Science 7-9
    • Mathematics 7-12/Science (Chemistry, Physics) 7-12 
  • Speech Language Impaired
  • Hearing Impaired
  • Elementary/Secondary School Counselor - Bilingual ONLY
  • Music - General Vocal and Instrumental

Once we are able to consider new applicants we will review the on-line applications as per the needs of the district and the recruiter for your subject area will reach out to you to schedule an interview.  We will give preference to those applicants that are currently PA certified. 

At the time of the interview, you must submit the PA Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance and FBI clearance. In addition you will be required to provide a copy of one of the following: PA certification, PA Intern certificate, or Out-of-State certification/application and two letters of recommendation.
